Warming Hearts of Over 100 Seniors

In response to Macau's aging population and seniors' mental health needs, Academy for Seniors, CityU Macau, on January 23, 2026, partnered with six major elderly service organizations to host a Joint Seminar. The event drew over 110 seniors and representatives from the Education and Youth Development Bureau, Health Bureau, and Social Welfare Bureau, promoting positive psychology and active aging concepts.

Caritas Enhui Senior Comprehensive Service Center Director Ms. Kwan expressed gratitude for CityU Macau's ongoing support and diverse services, enhancing Macau seniors' happiness and overall well-being.

The seminar featured talks by the Program Coordinatior, Ms. Jenny Lok, Faculty Health and Wellness, CityU Macau on "The Power of Mindfulness in Senior Emotion Management," including a guided three-minute breathing exercise, and Lecturer Mr. Ben Cheng on "Senior Happiness Coaching: Happiness Psychology," introducing the "Seven Happiness Practices" through interactive gratitude and optimism exercises to build resilience and emotional health.

International Training and Testing Center Acting Director Ms. Wu Yao-fen highlighted that since its launch in March last year, the Senior Academy has collaborated with these six organizations, serving nearly 900 participants via seminars and workshops.
