 ITTC organized a Environmental Training Program for
Students of College of Environmental Sciences & Engineering, Yangzhou University



From December 9 to 13, 2024, 15 students from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Yangzhou University visited City University of Macau (CityU) to participate in the "Green Environmental Urban Development" training program organized by the International Training and Testing Center (ITTC)  of CityU. The program aimed to explore the application of green urban planning in Macau's urban development and to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions in sustainable and green environmental development.

Program Framework

The course covers serveral topics about the urban planning and green environment :

  • Evaluation and Enhancement of High-Density Urban Ecological Environment in Macau _Associate Prof. Long ZHOU, Faculty of Innovation and Design (FIAD) of CityU;

  • Smart Environment: Application of Digital Technology in Urban Ecological Construction _Associate Prof. Chun-Ming HSIEN, Faculty of Innovation and Design (FIAD) of CityU;

  • Sustainable Transportation and Land Use_Assistant Prof. Hua-Jie YANG, Faculty of Innovation and Design (FIAD) of CityU;

  • Public Art in Macau's Green Environment_Senior Lecturer Ms. Meng-Shun, LEE, Faculty of Innovation and Design (FIAD) of CityU;

Understanding Macau's Ecology

In addition, students were arranged to visit the Cotai Ecological Conservation Area in Macau. Under the guidance and interpretation of ecological tour guides, participants learned that despite its limited land area, Macau preserves numerous ecological conservation areas. They experienced firsthand the efforts Macau has made to achieve harmonious coexistence between urban development and ecological protection.
