ITTC co-organized with Sprouts Studies Consultancy Limited the
 "Nature Interpretation - Nature and Low-Carbon Living Workshop”

December 7th, 2024,  the International Training and Testing Center of City University of Macau, in collaboration with Sprouts Studies Consultancy Limited, launched the "Nature Interpretation - Natural Ecology and Low-Carbon Living Workshop." This unique program transitioned participants from indoor sessions to outdoor experiences, offering a 3-hour interactive journey that allowed them to directly experience the joys of ecological nature and outdoor learning.

From Indoor to Outdoor

The workshop featured esteemed instructors Mr. Hok In KWAN, Mr. Seong In KWAN, and Mr.Man Chong SIT. At the beginning of the workshops, the instructors introduced Macau’s biodiversity, geography, and weather conditions, highlighting that ecological observation is more than just a scientific activity—it’s an ecological adventure.They likened it to a real-life Pokémon GO, where participants could experience the charm of nature through exploration and discovery.

Plan Your 1-Hour Nature Exploration Route

To deepen participants’ understanding of nature interpretation, the instructors tasked the trainees with planning a 1-hour ecological adventure route from the perspective of an interpreter. The trainees were encouraged to design routes tailored to different ages, species observed, and themes.

Following the planning session, the instructors and participants embarked on the routes designed by the trainees, visiting Macau’s green ecological areas to assess the routes’ feasibility. They also gained hands-on experience as instructors, providing on-site guidance and making adjustments to the routes based on real-world conditions.
