ITTC hosts a seminar of "Navigating Global Market Trends: Opportunities and Challenges"



On February 7, 2025, the Faculty of Finance (FOF) and the International Training and Testing Center (ITTC) of City University of Macau, in collaboration with the Macau Institute of Financial Services (MIFS) and the CFA Society Hong Kong , hosted a seminar of "Navigating Global Market Trends: Opportunities and Challenges".  This event attracted professionals from Hong Kong and Macau, as well as students from City University of Macau, who gathered to explore market trends and strategies for navigating the rapidly changing global market landscape.


 

At the beginning of the seminar, opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Rosita LOU, Member of the Executive Board; Mr. Matthew CHAN, Managing Director at CFA Society Hong Kong; and Prof. Adrian CHEUNG, Dean of the Faculty of Finance at City University of Macau. Each speaker emphasized that the seminar provided a platform for financial professionals and students from Hong Kong and Macau to learn and interact, enabling them to gain cutting-edge financial knowledge, broaden their horizons, and enhance their professional competencies. They also encouraged participants to engage in continuous learning and practice, pursue additional professional certifications, and explore opportunities to adapt to the evolving financial markets, thereby achieving greater success in the financial field.

The seminar featured  two main key topics with 
Topic1: Global Portfolio Construction Through ETF Inversement_Mr. Tony WONG, CSOP Managing Director

Topic2: China 2025-Opportunities and Challenges_Ms. Victoria MIO, CFA, Janus Henderson Head of Greater China Equities and a Portfolio Manager .

To discuss with everyone the opportunities and risks presented by the global market in 2025, helping them better understand the global market.

Additionally, this seminar included a discussion session hosted by Mr. Wallance Cheung, Executive Director of CFA Society Hong Kong, where speakers and participants explored global market trends, regional development, and investment strategies. The instructor noted that as the Macau financial market diversifies, the demand for professionals in investment, risk management, and financial analysis continues to grow.
