Jiangsu University Students Join Overseas Cultural Exchange Programme


On 26–27 November 2025, a delegation of 63 teachers and students from the Business School and the School of Social Development of Yangzhou University visited City University of Macau to join the “Overseas Cultural Exchange for Jiangsu University Students” programme, co-organised by the International Training and Testing Center (ITTC) of City University of Macau and the Jiangsu Education Association for International Exchange. At the opening sessions, Professor Liu Hua, Dean of the School of Social Development of Yangzhou University, and Mr. Yin Shiwen from the Business School of Yangzhou University expressed sincere thanks to CityU Macau for organising the programme, emphasising that it builds on existing cooperation between the two universities to deepen collaboration in talent cultivation and academic exchange and helps broaden students’ horizons in higher education.

26th Nov programme featured an “Innovation and Creativity Workshop” led by Dr. Zuo Peixin, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business of City University of Macau, who introduced the Business Model Canvas and guided students through group case analysis to understand how to create, deliver and capture value. On the 27th Nov, a thematic lecture “Mutual Learning among Civilisations and Urban Civilisation Innovation: History and Experience from Macao” delivered by Professor Wang Zhong, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at City University of Macau, which used Macao’s development from a fishing village to a global trading hub to illustrate its role as a cross-cultural nexus. 

In addition, students from Yangzhou University’s Business School visited Macao’s innovation incubation hub “369 Partner Town,” where co-founder and CEO Mr. Yang Hongwei introduced its role as a full-industry entrepreneurship incubation platform aligned with Macao’s “1+4” diversified development strategy, and Mr. Wan Hin Fai, Chairman of the Cultural and Creative Industry Advisory Committee and External Affairs Director of 369 Partner Town, shared trends in Macao’s IP economy, showing how local cultural IP can move from street-level creativity to market success and helping students better understand innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities in Macao and the Greater Bay Area.
