Dr. Sha Lei, Programme Coordinator of the General Education Department at City University of Macau, showed how large language models can support peer observation, classroom interaction analysis and multiple forms of assessment, helping teachers generate feedback, diagnose learning gaps and design remedial exercises, while stressing that teachers should maintain a human-centred educational philosophy in the AI era. Vice Principal Mr. Law King Chu and English Panel Chair Ms. Lai Wing Hung of Chinese YMCA Primary School (Hong Kong) shared their school’s successful integration of GenAI tools across the English curriculum, especially AI conversational practice outside class and AI-assisted writing, which significantly enhance students’ speaking confidence, fluency and writing performance; the seminar also strengthened a high-quality exchange platform for English educators in Hong Kong and Macao, and ITTC will continue to host professional development activities and cross-regional projects to drive innovative language teaching in the Greater Bay Area.
