Explore New Paths for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
A student innovation and entrepreneurship study tour, jointly organized by the International Training and Testing Center of City University of Macau and the School of Marxism Studies of Yangzhou University, recently concluded successfully at City University of Macau. This five-day study tour focused on the development of social sciences, humanities, and innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to broaden students' horizons, stimulate innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, and deepen educational exchange and cooperation between the two universities. The program integrated thematic courses, site visits, and interactive workshops, attracting 29 students from the schools to participate and gain an understanding of Macau's "One Country, Two Systems" principle, the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, and the vitality of modern urban innovation and entrepreneurship.



This course diversed in design, closely aligned with national education, socio-cultural context, and entrepreneurship and innovation, progressing from theory to practice. It begins with "The Development of Macao's Society, Culture, Education, and Economy under National Education," deeply analyzing how Macao's multiculturalism is integrated into the national narrative, enabling students to fully understand cultural and educational practices under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework. The course "Cultivating Cross-Cultural Competence in International Exchange" combines Macao's unique blend of Chinese and Western elements, teaching global communication strategies and helping students develop an open and inclusive international perspective. Subsequent workshops, "Macao's Economic Characteristics: Creative Business Workshop" and "Innovative Business Model Canvas," explore pathways for creative-driven tourism industry transformation through case studies, stimulating students' leadership and imagination in the digital age. Group activities guide students in designing entrepreneurial blueprints, enhancing their business logic and teamwork skills.


The participants stated that this trip greatly deepened their understanding of the successful implementation of "One Country, Two Systems" in Macao, providing them with more profound insights and understanding for the study of Marxist theory and innovation and entrepreneurship. This activity not only brought valuable practical experience and broadened the horizons of Yangzhou University students, but also further strengthened the cooperative ties between mainland and Macao universities, jointly cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents with a strong sense of national responsibility and an international perspective.
