Deepen University–Enterprise Collaboration and Help Mainland Companies Seize Greater Bay Area Opportunities

To deepen industrial cooperation and exchange between Macau and the Mainland, and to help enterprises seize development opportunities in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macau Greater Bay Area, City University of Macau held the International Business and Diversified Industry Strategy Conference at the Cultural Center of its Taipa Campus on 15–16 September 2026. Co-organized by the International Training and Testing Center of City University of Macau and the Macau Internet Marketers Association, the event brought together more than 200 entrepreneurs and industry representatives from the 1688 Merchant Development Center, covering fields such as electronic technology, packaging, household goods, toys, textiles and apparel, new materials, biomedicine, and intelligent technology. The conference combined thematic lectures with enterprise exchanges, guiding participants to explore new pathways for high-quality corporate development from perspectives including industrial development, brand upgrading, financial risk management, and digital transformation.


The conference combined thematic lectures with business networking to help participants explore new pathways for high-quality enterprise development from the perspectives of industrial development, brand upgrading, financial risk management and digital transformation. Opening remarks highlighted Macau’s “1+4” strategy for economic diversification—focusing on traditional Chinese medicine and health, modern finance, high technology, and MICE, culture and sports—and encouraged participants to leverage the university’s platform to turn learning outcomes into concrete cooperation projects.

Key sessions addressed cultural and creative industries and brand incubation strategies, modern finance and cross-border investment risk prevention aligned with Macau’s diversification policy and bond-market opportunities, and AI applications in business alongside enterprise digital transformation roadmaps. The event aimed to strengthen Macau–mainland enterprise collaboration, enhance participants’ capabilities in international business, brand planning, industrial strategy and cross-border operations, and provide a professional platform for mainland enterprises to better understand Macau, connect with international resources and expand diversified cooperation.

 The conference focused on enterprises’ practical development needs, helping participants systematically enhance their capabilities in international business, brand planning, industrial strategy, and cross-border operations. It further built a bridge for matchmaking and cooperation between Macau and Mainland enterprises, promoting deeper collaboration in key areas such as brand building, cross-border investment, and digital transformation. Through this event, the International Training and Testing Center continues to leverage City University of Macau’s strengths in discipline development, talent cultivation, and international exchange to actively carry out multi-level, multi-sector university–enterprise cooperation and professional training, promoting deep integration between education/training and enterprise development, and providing a professional platform for Mainland enterprises to better understand Macau, connect with international resources, and expand diversified cooperation.
