[Training Exchange] Guangzhou Huashang College Faculty and Students Visit CityU to Learn Macau's World Cultural Heritage and Urban Development
On September 21, 2024, 35 faculty and students from Guangzhou Huashang College, which led by Vice Dean Yuan Shihai of the School of Management, participated in a special lecture on "World Cultural Heritage and Macau Urban Image Communication" organized by the City University of Macau International Training and Testing Center. This event invited Associate Professor Wang Boxun, Executive Vice President of the School of Innovation and Design at CityU, as the guest speaker.
Exploration and Learning
Executive Vice President Wang Boxun began with multiple dimensions of Macau's history, socio-cultural aspects, education, and economic development, guiding the participants to consider the design direction and patterns of Macau's urban landscape. He deeply introuduced how these design concepts can enhance Macau's image as a world cultural heritage site and emphasized its significance in social value.
During the exchange, Executive Vice President Wang Boxun and the students engaged in an in-depth discussion about the changes in Macau's urban planning and design, the development of multiculturalism, and the learning atmosphere at CityU. This enriched the students' learning experience and deepened their understanding of Macau's unique cultural background.
The City University of Macau International Training and Testing Center continues to plan a variety of diversified research projects for mainland college and university faculty and students, covering fields such as language and culture, tourism, finance, artificial intelligence, and creative industries. This special lecture not only helped participants understand how to combine creativity, culture, and heritage elements and integrate them into urban design thinking for city development, but also further promoted the connection between City University of Macau and mainland education, building a solid bridge for future mutual visits and learning.
