[Training Exchange] Building a Bridge for Education Exchange between Macau and Jiangsu
On August 19, 2024, a group of 32 teachers and students from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics participated in the "Jiangsu Province University Student Cultural Exchange" project, organized by the City University of Macau International Training and Testing Center and the Jiangsu Province Education International Exchange Association. This exchange activity marked the third visit to CityU by the teachers and students from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, following programs in January and July 2024, continuously deepening the educational connection and exchange between the two institutions.
Promoting Educational Exchange and Connection
Assistant Professor Gao Yuting from the School of International Tourism and Management at CityU greeted the teachers and students from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Cantonese, highlighting the multicultural language characteristics of Macau and giving the first-time visitors an initial understanding of Macau's multiculturalism. At the same time, she also hoped that everyone would take this opportunity to increase their understanding of Macau and experience the unique teaching philosophy and model of CityU.
Teacher Yang Hui from the Student Aid Management Center of the Student Affairs Office at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, representing the students visiting this time, expressed their gratitude to the staff at CityU for the arrangements. He hoped that through this brief visit, educational exchanges and cooperation between the two schools could be promoted and they could contribute to cultivating the talents needed by society and development.
Special Lecture - Macau's Diversification and Social Development
Subsequently, Assistant Professor Gao Yuting from the School of International Tourism and Management at CityU gave a special lecture titled "Macau's Multiculturalism and Social Development," presenting to the students the developmental trajectory of Macau from multiple dimensions, including daily life, society, education, and economic development.
During the interactive process, students were allowed to experience the teaching and learning model of CityU. Assistant Professor Gao Yuting expressed her hope that everyone would visit CityU again in the future to delve deeper into the unique fusion of Chinese and Western cultures in Macau.
Continuously Building a Diversified Educational Exchange Project Platform
This exchange project was planned by the CityU International Training and Testing Center. Through special lectures, it enabled to broaden the participants' understanding of Macau's Sino-Western culture and allow them to personally experience the unique aspects of this city.
It could not only become a cultural experience journey but also promote mutual exchange and cooperation between CityU and mainland universities in the field of education, building a platform for exchange in the field of education.
