ITTC, CityU Organizes Activities for Visiting Students from the Faculty of Data Science at CityU

November 13th , 2024 ITTC arranged the Ice-Breaking for four international students from Griffith University who are visiting students of the Faculty of Data Science at CityU.  This activity event invited Mr. Sam HUI to serve as the activity instructor, aiming to strengthen the students' connection with CityU and enrich their learning experience through various activities.

Meet, Play & Sing Together

At the beginning, the instructor encouraged everyone to communicate and get to know each other through clapping and Q&A. Next, the dynamic "Jump Forward, Jump Back" activity further tested their reaction speeds and team collaboration abilities. 

Then, the instructor let everyone construct pasta towers in groups, guiding the students to discuss the theme of "creativity, communication, and change." Each group used their unique methods to communicate, be creative, and solve challenges together, building their own pasta towers and experiencing the importance of teamwork, stimulating creativity, and promoting mutual exchange and understanding.

Finally, the instructor inspired the students to articulate the unique elements and characteristics of CityU, and encouraged to combine them with artificial intelligence technology to collaboratively create a song that belongs to everyone at CityU. 

CityU Together

The four students from Griffith University said that this activity gave them the opportunity to meet new friends from different faculties at CityU, strengthening mutual recognition and communication. They demonstrated that the event provided them with a unique experience and they had never participated in before, which help them more easily integrate into the CityU community.
