Business School of Yangzhou University Students Joins
Jiangsu Province University Student Cultural Exchange at CityU Macau
On November 20, 2024, 37 students from Business School of Yangzhou University, led by Deputy Secretary Yao Fenghua of the Party Committee, participated in the "Jiangsu Province University Student Cultural Exchange " program. This program was organized by the International Training and Testing Center of City University of Macau and the Jiangsu Province Education International Exchange Association (江蘇教育交流協會) . The program, themed around a "Creative Business Workshop," aimed to enhance the creative business capabilities of the participating students.
Special Lecture - Creative Business Workshop
The course invited Assistant Professor Esther Kou Iok Teng, from the Faculty of International Tourism and Management at CityU.
She used "creativity" as a starting point to introduce the application scenarios and methods of creativity in the economic and media fields, and explained how to transform creativity into feasible execution plans through team collaboration, goal setting, and incentive mechanisms.
In addition, she asked the to build up the most stable "Tower" by using limited materials. This activity aimed to cultivate the students' innovative thinking and, through the process of planning, constructing, testing, and reflecting, experience the power of teamwork and innovative strategies. Encouraged creative collaboration among students, stimulated their creative imagination, , achieving collaboration and innovation within a team environment.
Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre (MYEIC) Visit
Following the morning's creative workshop, a special visit was arranged in the afternoon for participants-Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre (MYEIC) . A platform established by the Macau government to discover and nurture Macau's startup projects with innovative concepts or technologies, aiming to support the innovation and entrepreneurship of Macau's youth.
Two local young entrepreneurs were invited to share their entrepreneurial experiences with the students. They discussed the challenges of entrepreneurship in Macau and conducted in-depth discussions based on practical cases. In addition, they encouraged the students present to actively face future employment challenges.
