ITTC collaborated with FITM at City University of Macau to host a 'Wine Tasting' workshop
On February 26, 2025, International Training and Testing Center (ITTC) of City University of Macau collaborated with the Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) to host a "Wine Tasting Workshop." , aiming to help students know basic wine tasting methods through professional lectures and hands-on practice, thereby enhancing their appreciation of wine culture.
At the beginning , Ms. Janice LAW, the event planner from FITM, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students for their active participation and encouraged them to interact with the instructors to deepen their understanding of wine culture. Subsequently, Assistant Prof. Iok Teng KUO presented certificates of appreciation to Ms. Zora WANG and Mr. Wayne CHONG, expressing sincere gratitude for their participation and support.
Two guest instructors began by introducing the fundamental knowledge of wine, explaining the winemaking process and the structure of grapes. They then taught students how to evaluate wine using the "see, smell, taste, and spit" method. During the wine tasting session, students had the opportunity to taste different types of wine and, under the guidance of the instructors, practiced using wine tasting techniques to distinguish between flavors. This allowed students to experience the joy of wine tasting firsthand and deepen their understanding of wine culture.
The event attracted many students, helping them acquire basic wine tasting skills and related culinary culture, expanding their knowledge, and sparking their interest in the field. This foundation will support their personal development in the future.
