Guangzhou Huashang College Teachers Attend Training at City University of Macau, Building Platform for University Exchange


The International Training and Testing Center (ITTC) of City University of Macau hosted two special exchange and training events for teachers from the School of Literature and the School of Creativity and Design of Guangzhou Huashang College on June 5 and 6, 2025. These training workshops laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation between the two universities, giving Huashang faculty invaluable international perspectives and up-to-date knowledge to aid their professional growth and teaching innovation.

           On June 5, 25 teachers from the School of Literature at Guangzhou Huashang College visited CityU Macau for a talk themed “Overview of Macau Society, Culture, and Higher Education.” Dr. Iok Teng KOU, Director of the Master’s Program at the Faculty of International Tourism and Management, sharing perspectives on Macau’s history, policies, culture, and education. Dr. Kou highlighted five major events influencing Macau’s culture and discussed directions for its future development. The participating teachers engaged in lively discussions with Dr. Kou about Macau’s education system, cultural integration, and social development, gaining deeper insights and understanding of Macau and CityU.


Exploring Multiculturalism: Creative Design Teachers’ Training Camp (Date: June 6, 2025)

           On June 6, the ITTC, organized a special talk for teachers from Huashang’s School of Creativity and Design. Themed “Product Creativity, Design, and Urban Development,” the talk featured Associate Professor Po-Hsun WANG, Executive Associate Dean of Faculty of Innovation and Design of CityU,  who introduced the research initiatives and talent training programs of the faculty. 

Afterwards, under the guidance of Dr. Xing Yalong, Master Supervisor and Doctoral Supervisor, the teachers toured the SPHERA - Joint Laboratory of Heritage Conservation and Materials Analysis. They learned about forefront research in cultural heritage restoration materials, digital preservation technologies, and traditional craft heritage, as well as innovative approaches to heritage protection in the new era.
