2025 Hunan Higher-Education Faculty Exchange & Training Successfully Concluded – ITTC Continues to Build a Hunan-Macau Education Exchange Platform
On 26 June 2025, Professor Ip Kuai Peng, Vice President of City University of Macau, presented completion certificates to 29 teaching staff from Hunan Business College of Technology, Yiyang Medical College, Hunan Traditional Chinese Medicine College and Hunan Arts & Crafts Vocational College, marking the successful conclusion of the “2025 Hunan Higher-Education Faculty Exchange & Training at City University of Macau”. Organised jointly by the International Training & Testing Center (ITTC) of City University of Macau and Hunan provincial universities, this programme—launched in 2023—has now completed four consecutive editions. It aims to deepen educational cooperation, continuously promote the integration of higher education and talent cultivation between Hunan and Macau, and build a sustainable learning and exchange platform between Macau and mainland universities.
A Platform for Higher-Education Integration and Talent Development
At the opening ceremony, respresentatives Hunan Higher-Edcutaion all expressed that, with the ongoing integration of Macau and mainland higher education, the training would enable participants to further enhance their teaching and research capabilities and advance professional development. They also looked forward to establishing long-term cooperation mechanisms with City University of Macau and other institutions to jointly contribute to regional higher education and social development.
Associate Professor Ge Mei of the Faculty of Health and Wellness, City University of Macau, delivered the first keynote of the programme—“Research on Coordinated Innovation Paths and Models of the Silver Economy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”. She provided an in-depth analysis of the current development of the silver economy in the Greater Bay Area, explained how the pressures of an ageing population can be transformed into new momentum for “silver growth”, and explored collaborative innovation models tailored to the Greater Bay Area’s characteristics, injecting new vitality into high-quality regional development.
Under the guidance of Associate Professor Huang Guang of the School of Innovation & Design, the faculty delegation visited the China-Portugal “Belt & Road” Joint Laboratory for Cultural Heritage Conservation Science, learning about cutting-edge research in heritage conservation materials, digital preservation technologies, traditional craft inheritance and innovative pathways for cultural-heritage protection in the new era.
