CityU of Macau Academy for Senior of Gerontology Joins Hands with Community Organizations to Promote Elderly Physical and Mental Health and Social Inclusion
Since its establishment, the CityU of Macau Academy for Senior has actively responded to the Macao SAR Government's Ten-Year Action Plan for Elderly Services, striving to promote the building of an elderly-friendly and inclusive society. In June 2025, the college continued to visit various social service organizations in Macao, to conduct diverse workshops on floral art, six-color building blocks, and health and wellness. Through close cooperation with Macao's community elderly service organizations, the college has built a warm learning and exchange platform for Macao's elderly, thereby promoting the deep integration of the community and higher education institutions, fully implementing the principle of "holistic well-being, inclusive aging."
Diverse Services Promote a Holistic and Elderly-Friendly Society
CityU of Macau Academy for Senior adheres to the concepts of "lifelong learning" and "social inclusion," assisting the Macao SAR Government's Ten-Year Action Plan for Elderly Services, providing diverse learning and experience platforms, strengthening their sense of community belonging, and helping the elderly improve their quality of life. At the same time, as an important external service platform for Macao's higher education institutions, the college actively cooperates with community service organizations to share and complement resources, provide diverse and appropriate services, and is committed to promoting a friendly and inclusive society, fostering the connection between academia and the community, and providing a platform for learning and exchange for the elderly.
