The week-long program, officially opened by Vice Rector Professor Ip Kuai Peng, focused on cutting-edge fintech topics including blockchain, digital banking, central bank digital currencies, and AI applications in finance. Besides coursework, students took part in industry visits, notably to Ant Bank (Macau), engaging with experts and exploring the Greater Bay Area’s fintech development and Macau’s strategic role. Immersive cultural workshops allowed students to appreciate Macau’s unique multicultural heritage and its significance within the Belt and Road Initiative. Jointly hosted by Macau City University’s ITTC and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, this program strengthened higher education collaboration and youth talent development between the two institutions, fostering new momentum for cultivating fintech professionals in the region.
