Anshun University Delegation Successfully Completes Tourism Training Program at City University of Macau
From July 21 to August 1, 2025, a delegation of faculty and students from Anshun University's Tourism Management program successfully completed a two-week tourism study project at City University of Macau. This initiative, organized by the International Training and Testing Center, aligns closely with Macau SAR Government's "Tourism+" development policy. It aims to enhance the professional skills and international perspective of participants from Guizhou, fostering versatile talents for the cultural tourism industry in both Guizhou and Macau, and advancing tourism education collaboration across regions.
The program featured a comprehensive curriculum leveraging the courses of FITM of CityU of Macau. Courses covered a wide range of topics including hotel service quality management, tourism education trends, digital event marketing, emerging hotel technologies, sustainable tourism, the diversification of Macau's tourism, travel route planning and risk management, and innovation in tourism services. These topics equipped students with the latest industry insights.
An immersive learning experience was part of the project, with students engaging in "city walk" field studies in Macau's UNESCO World Heritage core areas. They explored cultural sites such as the Ruins of St. Paul's, Nezha Temple, and the Dahongtang district. Participants also joined cultural heritage workshops and visited important Macau sites that enhance their understanding of the region’s multicultural tourism landscape and integration of culture with technology.
This collaboration between Anshun University and CityU of Macau is set to deepen over time, building on the complementary tourism resources of Guizhou’s mountain tourism and Macau’s status as a world tourism and leisure center. Their partnership aims to create a model of tourism education coordination under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework, nurturing professionals with global vision and innovative capacities, and promoting regional higher education cooperation and development in tourism.
