The City University of Macau’s Academy for Seniors Collaborates with Community to Promote Senior Well-being through Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop

The City University of Macau’s Academy for Seniorsjoined hands with local senior service organizations to enhance community resources and deepen health services for the elderly. On August 25 and 26, 2025, they co-hosted a "Traditional Gold Leaf Fan Craft" workshop at Macau different Elderly social services center, attracting over 40 enthusiastic senior participants.

The event promoted intergenerational cultural exchange and community integration by encouraging seniors to share their handmade crafts with family and the community. This initiative supports the wellbeing of seniors through cultural engagement and skill development.

At the event’s conclusion, participants proudly posed with their shimmering gold leaf fans, their smiles symbolizing the enduring legacy and vitality of this traditional art form among the senior generation.
