Macau CityU Academy for Seniors Spreads Love with Flowers this Christmas
Macau City University Academy for Seniors actively supports Macau SAR Government's vision for an age-friendly society, deepening ties between universities and communities. During the Christmas season in December, the Academy organized a "Christmas Wreath Workshop" for its academic year learners. It also partnered with CityU student volunteers to visit Caritas de Macau's Shan Ming Hui, Mothers' Union Ha Kwan Elderly Comprehensive Service Centre, Caritas En Hui Elderly Comprehensive Service Centre, and CTM Yee Kwan Centre, hosting "Christmas Pressed Flower Painting Workshops" for about 100 seniors, spreading intergenerational warmth and festive joy.

The Academy's academic year program offers structured modules, diverse workshops, and activities to enrich seniors' learning. In December, it hosted a "Christmas Wreath Workshop" to celebrate the semester's end, where learners crafted unique wreaths, boosting well-being and health in a joyful atmosphere.
The festive spirit extended to community centers, with CityU student volunteers leading "Christmas Pressed Flower Painting Workshops" at the four sites. Seniors created vibrant pressed flower artworks under the guidance of instructors and volunteers, fostering cross-generational bonds through this heartfelt initiative.
