City University of Macau Delegation Visits Fujian to Strengthen Education and Belt and Road Training Cooperation
With funding from the Macao Foundation, City University of Macau organized an education exchange and Belt and Road talent-training project in Fujian from June 7 to 11, 2026. The initiative aimed to deepen cooperation between Macao and Fujian in higher education, professional training, teacher development, and international talent cultivation.
During the visit, the delegation met with representatives of the Fujian Provincial United Front Work Department and the Fujian Provincial Department of Education. Discussions focused on establishing long-term cooperation mechanisms for talent development, higher education exchange, cultural cooperation, and primary and secondary school teacher training.
The delegation also visited several universities and vocational institutions in Fuzhou, Quanzhou, and other areas of Fujian. The exchanges covered joint talent-training programs, academic seminars, research-platform development, academic-resource sharing, continuing education, vocational training, teacher development, student and faculty exchanges, and collaboration between universities and industry.
The visit strengthened the existing education partnerships between Macao and Fujian and expanded opportunities for cooperation in Belt and Road talent training. It also laid the foundation for a more structured and innovative platform for future collaboration in higher education, research, professional training, and international exchange.
